greetings | welcome to xmixahlx audio...

ATTENTION!: xmixahlx audio has been frozen, there will only be sporadic updates... stay tuned for the big opening day of ??? a joint venture of ???, xmixahlx and ???. the wait isn't long! with our powers combined we shall rule the world!

the goal of xmixahlx audio is to provide information, downloads, and direction regarding the lossy audio compression formats musepack and lame [mpc and mp3, respectively] as well as provide information on additional formats, such as psytel aac and ogg vorbis.

at the sites completion, xmixahlx audio will be a bad-ass, all-in-one redirection resource for all your news/downloads/information needs, as well as boasting some pretty sweet downloads hosted locally and an informative resource aiming to answer those oh-so-often asked questions from the species known as "newbie." the primary focus of xmixahlx audio will be to try to get information into circulation about the various lossy audio compression formats with the primary target audience being the "xing mp3 novice" ...to introduce the newbie to the world outside of xing.

xmixahlx.cjb.net | a permanent url...

those bastards at geocities won't let me use ftp anymore, froze my account, and it took me 2 days to download my sheit from their servers... oh well, i was updating the site a little in the downtime anyways. so the search for a new, free web host landed me at prohosting.com, which should be o.k. for a while, at least until the site becomes stable.

the site is currently on a free prohosting.com account. obviously this isn't an ideal situation, as this is only a temporary home - when the site becomes stable i will worry about better hosting... truthfully, until this website is complete, traffic will shouldn't be a problem. anyways, through the cjb.net redirection service, xmixahlx.cjb.net will _always_ be a correct url address. if you wish to bookmark the site, you may need to type in the address manually.

[re]constructuring | temporary state of insanity...

after long gruelling hours of roberto whining, he has talked me out of the previous frames layout i so dearly loved. i taught myself a little css, and here it is... the site will have a big update in content soon, as i finish up this quarter of school. _all_ categories will receive more content and useful information before the site becomes stable [v1.0.00, see "news"]. however, support, critiques, and/or compliments about the site by various hydrogen audio members [thank you!] is very encouraging! all ha.org members [as well as other informed peoples] are encouraged to put their $.02 cents into how this site could improve. if you have something of content to add, you will most definitely be credited, as well. please contact me through email or private messages at ha.org.

currently, the site is at a "birth" stage... having only been online since 2002-03-09, several features have not yet been implemented. hopefully you get a sense of what the site _will_ look like in the near future [a few weeks]... here are just some "improvements" to be made, as well as "for-your-information" disclaimers: [in no particular order]

authorship | givin' people props...

most of the information and downloads found on this site are "contributed" one way or another by one of the many project mayhem forum members. thanx goes out to the individual author[s] of each piece of software - frank klemm, andree buschmann, dibrom, layer3maniac, john33, speek, nicksd, peter p, etc. thank you for your coding time and effort! rock on... also, much thanx goes out to rjamorim/rarewares for allowing this site to mirror some of his "exclusively" hosted files.

legalities | so i don't get sued or receive _too many_ death threats...

i, xmixahlx, am not the author of any of the _software_ to be found on this site or referenced to on another site - full authorship details should be found within the contained downloads. all content is hosted freely and i receive no funds of any sort for anything related to this site. i have made an honest attempt to credit all ideas/information/software to the author[s]. the files that are available on this site are believed to be hosted legally - however, if you are the author of any peice of software and disagree, then please contact me so it can be removed.

post script | that's "p.s." for all you dummies...
